Tony Nelson`s King of Philly Cheese Steaks in Gulfport

I have going there off and on since they open. I got a steak sandwich and it was the worst. It was packed with mayo. I wanted only cheese onions bell peppers and mushrooms and mayo. I also wanted the sandwich toasted on the grill and the bread was very soggy! It was the worst experience I ever had there.

Food is always fresh and fast. Staff is freindly and very efficient. Go there for lunch often for the triple cheese deluxe.

Great Philly Cheese Steaks! The cheese-wiz fries are really good as well but my absolute favorite was the customer service and the LEMONADE! If you go, definitely try out the lemonade. It’s the best I’ve ever had!

We've visited here several times and probably won't return. The Philly cheese steak had quite a bit of hard gristle and just wasn't enjoyable. 3 stars because The fries were absolutely delicious, everything was hot and fresh and made to order.

First I saw it on TV. Decided to look it up online, the reviews were great so went there. The place is very clean, the food was good ( their lemonade is great)and the people friendly. Will definitely go back😁

look at the menu options on the wall and let them know how you want your Philly cheese steak. You want fries and drink with that too?! Sure you can make it a combo! Pay the cashier and take a number. If you're dining in, someone will bring your order to the table. Quick, simple, easy and it doesn't take too long for the food to come out either. Service was friendly and helpful from beginning to end.Just wait till you feast your eyes and tummy on the Philly cheese steak in all of its glorious, cheesy, meaty deliciousness. And the bread- the oh so perfectly hearth-baked bread sent down from the heavens of pure goodness (straight outta Philly). Quality and fresh ingredients made this such a great lunch and I look forward to my next trip down here.

OMG. My first time there and the food was awesome the staff is friendly and the place is very clean. I love everything about this place. So much flavor in every bite! I met Mr. Tony when he came to my job & I noticed his shirt and he invited me to stop by and promised I would enjoy! Promise is well kept. My husband & I love it and will be back for seconds... My favorite cheese steak on the Gulf Coast. Very clean facilities. Friendly staff. Great taste and very filling. A hidden gem in the Courthouse Road area.

The lady in drive thru was rude. We had to pull wait on our food which wasn't a problem, just the lady that brought us out food was rude also. The lemonade was watered down. As I was asking the lady about the food , I felt as I was being rushed and hurried. I have had lemonade here before and it was very good but it really really was watered down til I couldn't even taste the lemon in it

Super friendly counter service intended to create the sandwich you desire. The steak he used was excellent sirloin and the bread was light and just a touch of crust. My husband is a fussy eater and he loved it. We both could only eat half the 12" because it was so packed.

This lace has the BEST cheesesteaks. Nice soft buns, plenty of meat and cheese. You WON'T be disappointed.

It is not the food that is the problem. It is the service. The cashier was friendly last night. However, the grill woman was absolutely rude. The first order of business is the customer is always right. Not only did she talk down to me when she made my sandwich wrong. She was also rude to her coworkers. If I decide to come back and she is working, I am walking out before I order.

Amoroso rolls, whiz... These steaks were good to see so far from home. I wouldn't say authentic, though. The quality of the meat was too good.

I forget how good this place is. They do essentially one thing (with variations on the theme) really well. Great Philly and Philly - style sandwiches and hoagies.And the folks are nice! I'll never become accustomed to the demise of service with a smile. Not a problem at Tony's.

Hands down easily the best legit cheese steaks you can get on the coast. Definitely stop by if your in the area.

Been driving past this place for 3 years now for my job I only said that I would go in and get one one day well today's that day. It's usually looks like it's never busy but it still hanging around, the owner is from Philly which makes it awesome and he gets the bread flown in from there as well let me tell you this is one of the best cheesesteaks I've ever had my life, and I'm not just saying that. This thing is huge tons of meat the veggies perfectly sauteed nothing tastes as hell are not fresh at all I got the pepper cheese steak which is the regular cheese steak with bell peppers and onions and I don't regret it at all. I'm just happy I finally got a chance to try this as all the guys that I work with always pass it and have never stopped there I can go be recommending this place. Do yourself a favor and try it at least once.

I'm originally from Philadelphia. I lived on the coast for about 3 years. I refuse to go to Tony Nelson's for this long because I didn't want to be disappointed and boy was I right. There is no flavor too the food the meat was cold it did have plenty of cheese and and meat.But that shouldn't matter. Even the bread wasn't toasted. I is the worst cheese steak I've even gotten

First time in years I had to stop eating because I felt I was gonna be sick. Steak was full of inedible gristle and meat was slimy and disgusting. Fries were ok though.

Awesome food. Nice people. Clean environment. Even got TV's with sports playing. They wrapped the food for me that I couldn't eat. Sandwiches are full of meat. Come hungry!!

Look, I'm not from Philly and I don't know what it taste like from there. I do know this, these sandwiches are the best whether it's from Philly or Timbuktu. For the people who posted bad reviews, you're either a food competitor or you happen to go the one day things didn't go right for you. I have been here several times and have never had a bad experience, even with the pandemic.

Usually disappointed with cheese steak sandwiches outside of Philly, but Tony Nelson proved he is the king of Philly cheese steaks. So glad I had lunch there. You won’t be disappointed if you want a real Philly cheese steak. Definitely a 5 star lunch for food and service.

Tony's philly was great and the staff was nice and cared about every guest. They greeted us when we came in.

The Philly sandwiches are great. My favorite is the triple deluxe philly with the 3 cheeses. Only concern I have is that it's dark as hell at night

The steak was not cooked to order. It had been precooked and rewarmed. Tasted a bit tough. Staff was nice and meal came quickly.

Tony Nelson king of Philly cheese steaks is exclusively a Philly cheese steak shop. The sandwiches taste great. They have big portion sizes. Definitely worth stopping by for lunch or dinner.

Delicious food! I loved the crispy French fries. It was a little more expensive than I planned ($10 or so for a combo meal) & small considering the price, but it was yummy! They use quality meat & bread.

Great cheese steak! We're traveling through from Texas and saw this spot on Yelp. Was met by Tony himself at the counter, he walked us through our chooses. My family and I tried the 12" steak with 3 cheese and cherry peppers. 🌶 was a little spicy for me but had a great flavor. We also got a 7" steak with mushrooms. 🍄 That was also very good. All in in Tony's didn't disappoint. Definitely should visit and try a steak.

Short stay at the Gulfport airport looking for a place close by to grab lunch. Online reviews were good and my crew bought 6 different cheesesteaks. Everyone was impressed. Also, it’s nice to support a local veteran owned and operated establishment. Keep up the good work!

The wife and I have been to Tony Nelson's several times, why? Because the food is fantastic and so is the staff. If I could I would rate it 10 stars!

Being from the Philadelphia area we know what a good steak sandwich tastes like. I was surprised when I tried my cheese steak, it tasted like home. Good job Tony Nelson.
